Less than 2,500, you are a newbie.

More than 4,000, you have no life.

Of course post count does not matter.

The only thing that matters is the coolness of your avatar.

Does having a high or low post count mean you know more or less? Neither.. it just means either you are sociable, or not...

Look at it as real life.. some people are talkers, some are listeners, some are helpers, others are jokers.. we all have a place here.

None whatsoever. If a person thinks a forum post count has importance I would argue they spend far too much time at their computer. If ya' are pasty white and have crumbs all around you chair, this is an additional indicator...

Seriously, many seem to take that seriously, which I have always found somewhat revealing. I mean c'mon. Many posts amount to nada/nothing... simply a one sentence remark. I have been to the RCG forums where antique store owners have high post counts, but that is because they are trying to price their inventory via collectors knowledge. What does a post count like that amount to?

Mileage will vary. Some folks with a high post count have actually been on topic, provided amazing data and have imagery out the whazoo! and their posts are a thesis. Thank goodness for those type folks!!!

well, first you have to have a count. Then, later, you can have a post count.
Right now, you can have a pre count if you really want to. Or maybe an ante count. I'm not exactly sure.
