Does This Look Like A Tube Unit

This has a tube look to me but I haven't saw one of these before. Any idea of the manufacturer?

I don't think you can tell just by looking?? From that view, they all look the same?? When I got my first Maggie tube console I pulled the back off it, and I was like...what be this??? :)

But let's see what the more experianced have to say. :)

For some reason, GE with the Dustmatic record changer comes to mind. Might be wrong on that, but those used that wide arm.

I can not tell for sure. It is a GE stereo from the mid to late 60's. My guess is that it is solid state.

What is the power consumption? That is often a key. Transistorized units draw a lot less than vacuum tube units.

Thanks for the replies. It is an unusual looking changer to me anyhow. I messaged the seller about it but haven't got a response yet. I'll go look at it this weekend if it's still there.

The turntable says it is GE. I had one of those years ago and it is most likely tube. The newer solid state GE's had a different turntable.

Its right on the edge methinks. I have seen that one in tube GE's, usually with an amp built on a printed circuit board. Some odd amps too, single ended 7591 has shown up a couple times. Most of them have had that board heated to the point where it looked nearly incinerated.

During those very early years, EVERYONE was super proud to boast of SS. I see nothing written to promote that anywhere. Tubes is my take.

Yes sir... I've seen the Crispy-Brown-Wafer PC board too... I have a table-top with wing speakers with this TT in it... PC mounted tubes...

Nope, I don't have it. The seller still hasn't responded. Maybe this weekend.

I have three consoles and they're all tubes. I know because I took the backs off. :D
