Dry Rub Decals

Hey Everyone...Just wondering if anyone out there has used dry rub decals on receiver faceplates? I've got a couple units that the lettering has worn off. Anyway curious to here back or if there are other solutions.

My favorite Railroad model store use to handle all sorts of press on lettering I used for my brass model steam locomotives. I also got lettering at our local art supply store. Back in the day of manual drafting lettering was also available at drafting supply stores. You might check with Amazon. We used to touch up face plates in our repair shop . Then we would clear coat the unit. Scott and Fisher along with Japanese brands needed the most help it seemed. Mcintosh units with glass plates never had issues. But older C-22, 11 and 20 pre-amps did as did the tuners and power amps. Marantz tube units held up well as I remember. I will say lettering on cook tops, ranges and stoves don't hold well at all.
