Yep, pretty good deal there. That model came with the good SM-860 motor so you shouldn't have any of the "double speed" issues that plagued older models equipped with the SM-840 motor.
Be prepared to get a new belt, and clean the cartridge carrier contacts with some silver polish or at least a pencil eraser. Shure M91ED, M95ED, M97xE are great matches for that arm (many came stock with the M91 or M95). Ortofon FF15-E and most of the A/T carts are great in those too.
Dust new belt with talcum powder or it won't change speeds and can get hung up. Clean the pulley very carefully, those segments bend and get ruined VERY easily.

Thanks for the help , I ended up picking it up and the owner threw in a Station 681eee cartridge. The auto start was acting weird so I opened in up and cleaned/ greased everything now its working perfect.
I had some trouble with the cart, looks like the Single and multiple selector was installed wrong. Any tips for dealing with those springs and such in there?

In single mode the cart should be sitting level, in multiple mode it should be tilted downward. Quite frankly you might want to think about picking up a cartridge carrier without that feature, it's more of a PITA than its worth and sometimes causes alignment / azimuth issues.
If your automatic start issue was about the arm moving erratically or not moving all the way across the record it's probably going to be acting up again very soon. Google the word Steuerpimple and read up on it if you're not familiar with it already. That's the German word for the little plastic clutch tip inside that moves the arm across the record. It eventually wears down or rots away but it's an easy fix, usually you can make a new one with something from around the house. All surfaces associated with it must be clean and dry, no grease or oil at all.

That cart is no good. I will trade you a nice Shure M97xE for it.
Good idea about the cartridge carrier. I won't be stacking records on it and once the little springs popped out, there is no way I'm getting those back in.
Any suggestions on where to grab one?

Same cartridge carrier used in all of the 1200 models and many others.
I can't remember for sure but you might be able to remove that spring loaded contraption and just use it like a standard carrier (it's been a while since I had to deal with one of those).
