Dual 1264 head shell mod

Is it possible to modify or adapt the original head shell on the Dual 1264 to install a Shure cart? My 1264 has an Ortofon, original equipment I believe, but the stylus is broken off. I have a Shure M97xe I would like to use.

Sorry, but that's the wrong one. I.e., that's a replacement for the halfinch-mount adaptor plate for the 2nd gen. proprietary ULM mount models (with cartridge prefix TKS) - whereas the 1264 belongs to the 1st gen. proprietary ULM mount models (with cartridge prefix ULM), so that Sherwoody would instead need the adaptor plate, that was part of the adaptor kit G with original part number 262 186 (and also of the kit K with part number 261 865 for the small chassis models like for example the 496). But that's only one part of the solution, 'cause Sherwoody would also need the matching add-on weight disc(s) for the installed counterweight variant (either regular or tuning antiresonator).
