Searched here and around the net for what DUAL/United Audio bases will work with the various tables.

Will a 1009 base work with a 1219? Can the 1009 base be cut to work with the 1219?

Thanks!

I think you may want to check at VinylEngine and check out the templates for mounting the table in question against those of potential matches. It might even be cheaper to use the template and make your own, especially if you have a router, jig saw and a table saw available.

I had a dual base and dust cover around somewhere. Wonder if I still have that... Anyway, let me know if you need one. I'll look for it.

A 1009 base with fit 1211,1214,1218 and any 10 platter, The larger 1219s,1229s and 1249s won't fit. I have a plastic 1249 base. It came with a 1249 I gave Bohley. Not the prettiest but I kept it just in case. Got three 1200s. All have the larger wood bases. Its will do the job and its free Let me know if you want it

That flat-top base will only accomodate a 10" model. If you cut it out to make a 12" Dual fit, the chassis hold-down screws will not clear the sloped sides. This base did not come in a larger size. Look for the 'Scandanavian-inspired' base made for the 12" models. Very pretty, as the turntable mounts in a cut-out. Somewhere on this website, I have a pic posted of my 1219 in this base.

I wish Dual had kept this style base.

Even as a kid, I didn't like the slanted sides and burnished stripe.
