DYI LPDA for FM

Plastic end caps may cause dielectric loss due to the high electric field at element tips. They may shift the frequency response by detuning the elements due to dielectric loading.

I've replaced my old 3 element antenna in my attic:

with my new LPDA:

Makes a tiny bit of difference:

Maybe the differences are because of the LPDA pointing a bit more east. The wall of my attic is north.

Once the weather gets nice I will move it on top of my roof, on a rotor. Don't expect fireworks but being able to point it somewhere will be great!
