Deciding to purchase a pair of Dynaco A35. Serial numbers are 39-632257 and 39-639054. Can anyone interpret the serial numbers? Too far apart to be considered a matched pair?

Hopefully someone familiar with that brand and model will offer an experienced opinion, like were they sold as singles or pairs.
I only have experience with Infinity speakers.
The larger, more expensive Infinitys were often sold as consecutive number pairs.
The less expensive low to maybe mid level seemed to be sold as singles. One to a box.
I assume that where I bought mine they had a "pile", well several. When someone bought a pair the clerk grabbed two off the "pile".
You might have accidently gotten consecutive serials numbers by random draw. I don't know if asking the clerk to pick consecutive numbers would have been successful. I suppose if you had a cooperative clerk and there actually were a consecutive pair on hand you might have been able to get consecutive numbers.

Only guessing, your pair may have been from the same "batch" produced, just not consecutive serial numbers.
I have a pair of Infinity Reference Studio Monitors where the serials are around 150-200 apart and never thought twice about it.

Thanks for the reply and I agree with your comments. I purchased, at retail, new EPI, MicroAcoustic(?) and Samsui speaker pairs in the 1970s and never considered the significance of consecutive or “matching” serial numbers. I plan to buy the A35s today.

IMO, those are close enough in numbers to be in the same batch or close, especially given the vast numbers of Dynacos produced. A35s weren't as plentiful as the A25s, but there were a lot of them out there. GREAT speakers, I had a pair years ago, now have A25. The A35 is better in bass. They'll probably need caps to liven up the tweeters.

Thanks, I’ll get these and keep an eye out for A25s as well
