Help With AR Serial Numbers

I have been restoring a pair of AR2ax's and would like to know if the serial numbers provide information as to date of manufacture. My serial numbers are
ax 79504 and ax 79516.Which number gives me the year of manufacture?

Well mine are 269517 and 269622 so if they are in order of date yours are earlier than the ones I have.

Carl, I just came from there with no luck. I may have missed it somewhere along the way or I'm looking in the wrong place. Maybe I just couldn't see the forest for the trees, or something like that.Got a lot of useful information, however, in my search. Can you direct me to the link? You need to go to the discussion area (join if you haven't already. it's the best source of AR info), click on AR and post your question. There are some real AR historians to visit there quite often and should be of help.
