Dynaco PAT 4 Pre- amp Phono stage question

Can I use a Dynaco Pre-amp PAT 4 phono stage hooked up to a McCormack PAT 1 Pre-amp ?
And how would they connect ?

Tape out from the PAT4 to any line level in on the PAT1 like aux, tuner, etc.

The tape out bypasses the volume, tone and loudness controls of the PAT4. It will be a flat responce, meaning no EQ. Can you still get max volume on the PAT1 by turning the volume up more with the PAT1?
