Dynaco Stack. Opinions?

Looks like a PAT-4 and an ST-80? Those are both solid state. Don't know much of anything else about them personally.

$300 is high, at least here in the USA. The ST-120 has a modest 60 watts per channel and the original version had reliability problems. The PAT-4 is the least loved of Dynaco preamps. If you are a hobbyist, there are upgrades and modifications online. I don't know what's available to you in the UK, but here for a comparable budget system I would look for Adcom or Hafler. Dynaco went under about 40 years ago, so if original they will need recapping at least.

These are all solid state, but as such they do sound better then most current devices.
st-80 sounds better then st-120 since they lack output protection circuitry.
If everything works, go for it. You can always sell on ebay later.
Are you sure that's an ST-80 and not a 120? I can't tell the difference from the view we're offered. At any rate, IMO it's overpriced and I suspect the OP would lose a decent amount of money trying to resell. I wasn't even aware that Dynaco gear had been sold overseas, but being in the UK, I suspect there are many other options in the market.
