Hi,

I was wondering if anybody here have their experiences with using Dynaudio speakers with Mc gear. I would love to hear your thoughts on this pairing.

thanks

As you see here, its very common here in Sweden and Scandinavia to demo mc with dynaudio. I have heard they really sing together..

For many years I use with great satisfaction, the Dynaudio with amplification McIntosh. First with the contour 5.4S, and after with the Sapphire and I am more and more enthusiastic. Probably for their load linear impedance of 4 ohms go wonderfully well with my 501 autoformers.

Thank you to both of you waxman & vignotra...

I'm really leaning towards getting the Dyn Contour S1.4, hopefully i'll get a good deal

cheers,

I am very pleased with my MC2105 driving a Dynaudio compact monitor , a 6.5 inch woofer/mid with the 1 inch dome .

My combination was McI MA6850 with Dynaudio Contour 3.0.

I will never sell it! It is incredible, how much deep bass is generated by this combination. You would not believe that, because the 3.0 looks so tiny. Closing your eyes, while listening, forces you to believe, that there is a subwoofer working in the room!

I tried many combinations, but this is the golden one! :thmbsp:

I use Mc501s, first paired with C4s, and now Temptations (like in the photo!).

Great combo...you can listen all day.

Thanks Paulram & McGermany for the very encouraging comments on MC+DYN combo...looking forward to my Dyn Contour S1.4:D

Dynaudio Contour S1.4

arien,

You are going to love the Dynaudio Contour S1.4 after about ten hours or more hours of break-in.

Hi,

I went to the Dyn dealer today and listened to both Focus 140 and Contour S1.4. I like the Contour S1.4 than the focus 140 but not to say that the focus 140 is bad, it is a very fine speaker as well but Contour has more of what the focus have in every respect. So, I made the deposit for the Rosewood finish with black stand 4:banana:. Cant wait to hear them in my place with my MA6900:):music:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the speaker upgrade will be delayed for now:sigh:

Good thing the delear is kind enough to return the whole amount of the deposit:thmbsp:

Yes i love this Speaker ! my combination running with
C45 + MC 352 + Dynaudio Contour 3.0 and this is a greatful combination, and sounds great!!

Post #937 here has a nice McIntosh/Dynaudio set-up.

See that references to Audio Aficionado are still blocked here. Is in the Gallery sticky in the McIntosh forum.

Finally got the clearance to upgrade my speakers:banana:....I went back to the dealer and got a very special price for the Contour S1.4 in rosewood + stand 4. Now i'm enjoying my new speakers with my Mc MA6900:music:...next is to get a decent speaker cable and a good equipment rack..:thmbsp:

Recently, I saw a demo on Facebook from Copenhagen. The Dynaudio Rep was using The 2,000W McIntosh Platinum Series Monos to drive The Dynaudio Consequence Ultimates. Now The specs on That speaker shows it has a recommended input of >400W. I have been trying for some time now to find out if this demo was legit. The meters on the MC Amps were registering in the 2000W range and constantly. Dynaudio explained The speakers RMS rating was > (greater than) 400W. Even so, 2000W is a far cry from 400W. The demo can be viewed on Facebook under the heading of "Entertainment", then type in McIntosh and Dynaudio. For those of you who may take the time to view this, would like to know what you think as to it's legitimacy.
