EICO - Tube and Transistor Tester Model 666

is this model any good?
from what I read it sounds okay.
will it test 6DJ8's?

Ah, the old Devil's Choice tester. It should do a 6DJ8. If you can't find that in the charts, try charts for an Eico 667. Its the same tester, but with different sockets.

It's an excellent tester and uses circuitry similar to Hickok. The 667 can do more pin positions and has a transistor tester but is basically identical to the 666, Satan's Choice. Watch out for errors in the published charts, though they're not usually as serious as sometimes thought to be. I did some analysis and a write up as a spreadsheet, some of which might be nonsense until you've gotten some experience with the unit, but it's here.

I have an "evil" Eico 666 and yes it will do 6DJ8's. I have a .pdf of the supplemental settings I can send you if you like.
