Estate sale TT. (A Gray HSK-33)

This only pic of a TT was posted for a local estate sale. Looks like an older manual table. Any idea the make & model? Maybe Rek-O-Kut?

The tonearm is R-O-K, no doubt about it. (Rek o Kut, not "republic of korea")

It appears to be a belt driven turntable where the belt is on the periphery. R-O-K used to have such models.

Agreed. The bevel on the edge is unique.
And the plinth. I have not seen an Empire with a wood top.

I am getting a Fairchild vibe ....412 on custom plinth?

Probably just as well. I love the unified MCM look of the Gray 212 tonearm, but mine (also from an estate sale) came without the head shell wiring harness and the cartridge sled which seem to be "unobtanium." I will probably have to buy a complete Gray tonearm to get the parts I need, and even those are pretty rare.

Does the Ukranian guy who's name I can't recall right now make them? I think he makes copies of the 208 arm, don't know if there is any parts compatibility there.

Got it. Yep. Gray TT. Has a nice Shure M3 or M7 cart. ( It's a M3D)

It also needs a belt. Any recommends? And yes, it's a ROK arm. Made in Corona, NY.

Yes, and it is dynamically loaded by a spring so it has slanted upwards without a cartridge mounted.

The PRB catalog says the Gray PK-33 uses an FRX35.1 belt. Maybe your table uses the same.
Flat Rubber Belts With - I.C. From 17.000" thru 35.100" | Electronic Supply Corp. Has the belt, other places do too.

Definitely a RekOKut tonearm. A nice looking Gray belt drive turntable. Gray Laboratories as in the maker of broadcast tonearms. An old engineer favorite. Spun off later as Micro-Trak.

HSK may mean hysteresis synchronous motor? Likely the same belt if thats what the model number different tells us.

I wonder if this is actually a re-branded ROK K33H with a slightly different belt cover. Apparenly they do exist with a cover in this shape rather than the rounded one

Seems some say a 35.1" belt and some a 37" belt.
