Favorite winter drinks?

Now that winter is here, and we seem to discuss summer drinks a lot, what are your favorite winter drinks?

Right now I'm drinking hot buttered rum, one of my favorites, but my most favorite is gluwein.

Not really... I like the porter idea and winter ales... Just rum and coke, spiced or not is more an all year drink to me.. I don't drink winter ales all year.. and seldom the porters, normally I drink the porters during the winter..

Hot Chocolate of course....like the one served across the street from ACademy Records in NYC...gourmet chocolate melted and mixed with milk..Its Chocorgasmic!!!!!!

That does sound good... I'm not a big fan of the powder in a packet, but real chocolate.. YUM... made with milk and not water of course..

Guess I can't talk or disagree with that.. I was chuggin outta a bottle of Woodford the other night after my phono pre-amp put a hole in my scalp... it did warm me up pretty quick :yes:

Other than the plethora of Winter Brews that come out for the season, I do like one little "gimmicky" drink - the Fireball.

Shot of cinnamon schnapps with two or three drops of tabasco in it - tastes quite a bit like the fireball candies I enjoyed as a kid, just with more kick.

Ginger Brandy, I learned from a bartender while I was playing a gig, while sick with a cold. Clears up any congestion you may have. If I have the flu or something, will down a pint and go to bed and cover up with as many blankets as can find and sweat it out.

I have recently been drinking hot chocolate with Kahlua. Really good when coming in from the cold!
