Fisher X-202-B models, any differences?

The only consoles that X-202 Integrated's were used in are as follows; Late 61 Executive X-202 and the 63 Regent X-202-B. The X-202-C was never used in a console to my knowledge. By the time the "C" came out, FISHER was switching over to Solid State in the Consoles and the HIGH END units were 1st.
To my knowledge, the console version and standalone's are the same, within a model. The "B" and "C" are upgraded and improved versions of the original. Link to the manuals on FISHERCONSOLES.com The "C" version

My 2 cents, I always thought a X202B was just that, a X202B. never heard of different "models". X202 is different with a few less bells and whistles and no tape monitor I believe.
the X 202 uses EL84 outputs, and sounds wonderful, I have one I am restoring.
X202 is a beautiful looking unit! The only one I have seen is at our friend Daves. Brass faceplate is killer on these!
No that's not what I meant. With each "suffix" the basic model was changed sufficiently to warrant the "SUFFIX". Thus the "improvement" of the basic model.
The versions in the EXECUTIVE and REGENT were as far as I can see, standard X-202 for the Executive, or X-202B in the case of the Regent. About the only change I could see was the faceplate addition of the "EXECUTIVE" or "REGENT" in the corner of the Faceplate.
The most obvious changes I see between the X-202 and X-202-B was in the Tone Control/scratch filter tubes X-202 using 12at7's and the X202B using 12AX7's. The AT7 is/was a NOISY/Microphonic tube for the application. The ax7's are tomb quiet comparatively, but also give a little bit more gain at the same time.
The X-202C could be mistaken for a S.S. unit as it incorporates the later (65 and up) faceplate design and switching on the front panel. It's a good unit and the next down from the X-1000. The units prized by collectorsare those with the late 50's brass faceplate or the early 60's design aluminum faceplate in that order. The mid/late faceplate FISHERS are kind of a black sheep as far as collectors are concerned as I surmised above.
Some additional information I would add:
1. The X-202B was not a new model, but a continuation of the X-202-line -- this because the X-202 was produced up to serial number 39999, while the first X-202Bs started production life as serial number 40001.
2. The first 10000 units produced employed the older style knobs with brown inserts, and is also characterized by the following:
A. The Center Channel Level control controls the center channel line level (RCA) output jack.
B. The headphone output was significantly reduced in level.
3. The next 10000 produced (50001 - 59999) employed the newer knobs with brass brights, and is also characterized by the following:
C. The Center Channel Level control is now a multi-position switch, allowing selectable output levels for the powered center channel speaker output. In the previous version, the powered center channel output level was fixed.
D. The line level Center Channel output (RCA) jack level is now fixed. In the previous version, it was adjustable as detailed in A above.
E. The headphone level was corrected in this version to the standardized level offered in all Fisher products offering a headphone jack.
F. The line stage gain is slightly increased in this version.

I have an X202C. It is a very nice amp, but maybe a bit of a downgrade from the X202B. It lacks some of the bias settings found on the X202B and it runs the 7591's very hot being rated at 80watts. Whenever I get around to working on it I plan to lower its' output a little. My unit has the original 7591's and the black bases are blistered. I'm not complaining. Got my unit from the estate of the original owner. He had mounted it in an Allied Knight cabinet so maybe that contributed to the heat issues. Bought the entire console with X202C, 100T, TD-124, and a pair of Knight EV coax speakers for a total of $200. I think the owner originally used the 100T with an unknown power amp that he replaced sometime later with the X202C and continued to use the 100T just as a tuner. One of the best deals I've found and interestingly I didn't arrive at the sale until around noon and it was still available. I probably could've gotten it for less, but was so excited at $200 I immediately paid.
