Another very influential brother act is the Delmore Brothers. Their stuff has aged well. Rockers will even find a lot to enjoy in their work, like Freight Train Boogie.

I love so many of the artists, esp. the old-timey groups cited above, that about all I'm gonna add is Doc Watson & Bill Monroe. Bluegrass, sure, but ain' that country too?

If you live in southern Virginia, it damn sure is.

I wouldn't put Doc Watson in the Bluegrass category. Bill Monroe, definitely, pretty sure he invented it.
