hardly the end of the world, I'm sure many other AKers would be happy to be in your shoes. Can only get better. Hang in there.Things are starting change.After listening for a bit tonight one of the 802d's quit working. I checked for continuity and found none. I pulled it apart and the diaphragm has a crack. So now I'm down to one fully functioning speaker and one with no horn. Any one think I should replace the diaphragm or should I just replace the pair and sell these?

A funny thought I was thinking of when someone did not get their soda or change at the vending machine and started pushing until the damn machine toppled and crushed the person. Stay clear of those heavy weights if the earth starts to shaken, "Timber" anyways, time for my meds. (LOL) Enjoy!

I'd look into BMS drivers or that B&C Gordon suggested. Dump the 802Ds, the 075s, and the woofers. Or you can have GPA put new diaphragms in the 802s and give them a try. You might just like them. Good Move Bill does very nice work ! I just got back two pair of 416's that were reconed and re-magged and sound fabulous.

Anyway for new frams cost $90 for small format (802) if you send them in he will also re-mag them for free I would also replace them both in (Pairs). If you decide to keep them.The 802D's are just as good as the 802G with a remag and fram replacement ! You will enjoy them.And if you ever want to sell them you will get your money back that you put into them for the new diaphragms easily $180. :thmbsp:

Hey, a thought. Post up a picture of the D130. Some of those can be reconed with a 2234H kit (the later D130s had the same frame and magnet as the 2230/2231, which are equivalent to the 2235s- which share the same frame as the 2234). That would make at least ONE woofer that could do what you want.
