friday morning.my new start in KENTUCKY!!!!!!!!!!

thanks guys!!!!!, im excited n nervous as hell!!!!! hey what do you mean bout a game this weekend?

You'll find out! UofL is taking on UK in the final four this weekend. Either way Lexington will be a wild place.

I'm not a UK fan but like UofL just hope it is a good game. I lived a few years in Winchester just east of Lexington. If you like sea food there is a restaurant down in Boonesborough called Halls that use to be great. Try the fried banana peppers or the snappy beer cheese.

Nice area a lot to do around, try the Bourbon trail out of Frankfort also.

I'm up the road from Lexington, just outside of Louisville now.

Hall's on the River isn't far from where Boone's daughter was kidnapped by marauding Shawnees. I think the food, other than the beer cheese, is just standard deep fried stuff. One of the best places to eat in Lexington is the Waffle House. And I ain't kiddin'; my wife and I lived in Lexington for three years and towards the end we were going there more and more, at least it doesn't disappoint which the nice joints downtown usually did. The best pizza available IMO is from a chain called Donato's out of Ohio. That the best pizza in town is chain pizza is unfortunate.

Malone's steak house is good but you have to get used to eating your expensive steak in a joint where people don't know to remove their UK ballcaps while seated at table. Me, if I want to eat steak surrounded by yahoos in ballcaps I'll get the $7.99 T-bone special at the Waffle House.

Best Chinese we found was Shanghai Bistro by Hamburg which is solidly OK but nothing special.

We liked Cornett's better then Hall's but I heard they shut down years ago. Last time I ate at Hall's a few years ago coming back from the Smokies for lunch it was pretty good.

Also we you an Ale 8 fan? I acquired a taste from them, but has to be in a bottle and very cold!
