Glue to use with Sony reel-to-reel flywheel pads

I have been working on a couple Sony reel-to-reel players (TC-366 and TC-540) and both of the red pads that the flywheels sit on have come unglued from the metal chassis. I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of glue would work best for these pads since they are normally covered in grease. I am worried that the grease will just work its way under the pads and undo whatever glue I use. I can't seem to find any information of what type of glue works best around grease. Thanks in advance.

Another possibility is to use a product called DAP RapidFuse (see the link below). It can be used to bond a variety of materials. The surfaces of the parts need to be cleaned first to remove all grease. After applying the adhesive, placing the pad in proper position and allowing the adhesive to cure, I don't think the grease would be able to migrate into to bonded area and loosen the bond. I have used it for a number of gluing situations and it has always performed well.
