Ohhh brother!
Hahahahahaha....Oscar it aint that serious at all. Yo pride hurt? Stop huffing, puffing and cussing as if you going to commit murder. Man its an audio chat room. If some one don't want your info for whatever reasons...shake the dust from your feet and move on, rather than acting like a kid and throwing a hissy fit. Saying you'll check back in December as if some one hurt you feeling...Arguing over audio is not that important to me as you. Perhaps you need to step back from the ledge, and listen to some tunes before you blow a tube.
Now if you want to blast me...go ahead. Have at it. After wards tell me about the REGEN/iUSB3.0 comparisons
IN a minute
Brotha B,
The all to brief hissy fit is over and behind me, let me once again try even harder to keep my emotions under wraps as it does get the best of me at times............., damn dual personality I'd say, hold on............., that other guy sitting on my left shoulder says I'd blast you, while the wiser one sitting on my right one says get over it, as you're much much much bigger then to let this stuff sway you from the course.
So with that being said..........., here's what I'm hearing between the two devices in question, as Lee Harvey mentioned I should wait two weeks before passing judgement upon the Regen, I can only imagine it gets better.............., but as it stands, within all of the usual three tracks I believe I've a feel for what it's doing compared to the iUSB 3.0, while the 3.0 offers a slightly quicker response timing to notes and not at all what I'd call bright in my system, the Regen as Lee Harvey mentioned has a weightier and more grounded feel, as well as a fuller sound which adds to one perception that each instrument is more delicately balanced............, and the separation of notes in general have a correctness to them that seem to offer a more natural flow to them in comparison to said 3.0.
I myself can't see letting either one of them go, as they both offer different sonics, yet one does it more how should I put this without coming across as biased?, in what strikes me like a very well designed tube amp that lets one hear deeper into the background and pulls at your spirit inviting to come in and chill for hours upon end ( Regen ), while the other says can you hear that little tapping of the cymbals which weren't quite as pronounced before, as well as other hidden details buried deeper in the mix ( iUSB 3.0 ).
So what I'd then sense this boils down to is, if someone wishes to have a warmer | richer | creamier more textured presentation that's more forgiving of brighter sounding gear and|or recordings............., the Regen is for you............, but if one has a fairly neutral system and wants let's say a more reach out and touch the recording studio controls.........., then the 3.0 would certainly apply here.
Is there a clear winner, where I'd say one exceeds the other?, no............., as mentioned above like anything else as it relates to audio, it's what they end user is seeking. As stated.............., I'm keeping both and will be adding a more upscale LPS to the mix, because even with the standard one as supplied with the Regen had a very weird way of enhancing the sound of both........., and the el'cheapo LPS as recommended by some on the various Regen forum talks........, that go between $45 - $65 goes one even better.
Brotha B | Rich | Lee and my other brothers..............., all I can say is............, Damn, Damn, Damn, Damn.........., it's clicking, or as Rich would say " this bitch is clapping ". And from what I'm hearing............, those sitting on the fence waiting to hear which one is better?, I'm sorry to disappoint you................., to my ears and senses it merely boils down to what one wishes to hear?, as well as spend?, but in truth.........., if you're doing this whole CA thing.............., and haven't committed to one or the other, it's time to hop your happy arse over that fence without touching it, and get to your phone and place an order today.
Without either, I dare say one merely doesn't know what this **** is truly capable of..............., CDs my arse, I don't miss them in the least as compared to vinyl, but this is what I truthfully believe digital was meant to be heard, and to my ears while SA-CDs made a qlimpse at correcting matters, this is where it ends.
Let's see if my findings have changed in two weeks?, byr in the time being............., fellas this **** is moving me to my very core even more so then it did a few days | weeks | months ago, and I'm very very very very content in knowing such a wonderful sound could be had for so little, even an entry level turntable or CD player aren't capable of hitting all the right notes and keys so correctly as what these products are doing right now.
Shall we all see where this ends.
Be well.
