OR, just before you hit the jump, you can point to the right and yell "cow!" It worked for Danny Devito in Throw Momma from the Train.

It was most commonly associated with the Ford Model T, though the term was sometimes used historically to describe any subpar or failing contraption.
Yes, there was a Ford connection. While "Tin Lizzie" was Henry Ford's most famous nickname, "flivver" frequently pops up in the same context to describe the Model T’s economical yet rough ride.
Ford even had a Flivver (Aircraft): In 1926, Henry Ford attempted to build a "Model T of the sky," which he officially dubbed the Ford Flivver. It was a tiny, affordable, experimental single-seat airplane.

Thanks ..... it's no 5L Mustang GT but it will keep me mobile and offer us flexibility.

I guess I've missed some updates. All I remember is you replacing a Miata with the Mustang.

The Escape is ok, but isn't it more or less the same as the Bronco Sport you already have, only in a more city-friendly shape? Is it FWD or AWD?

BTW, this photo posted last year shows a silver Escape beside the Mustang. Have you traded it for the Bronco Sport, and now you've got another Escape?

OTOH, it will be easier to maintain both vehicles at the same repair shop :)

Yes the Miata became too challenging to drive with the progression of my illness

And thus the Mustang ....

And before the decision to part with the Stang we traded in the other Escape on the Bronco

There has been a sharp deterioration with my illness

The Mustang had to go

But we wanted a second vehicle still for the days I was feeling up to getting outta the house

We are familiar with the Escape ..... and comfortable with it

So we snooped and found this....

Yep same shop ..... a dealer my family has been doing business with for over 70 years
..... the third generation (grandson) is now the principle dealer

There .... you're caught up :)

I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard somebody boarding the trusty SF340 use that term. I thought many times of coming on the PA and saying, "I've heard some of you referring to this aircraft as a puddle jumper. I can assure you that it is not. A puddle jumper would be a single engine Cessna, which by the way was the biggest thing I had ever flown until last week. Have a pleasant flight."

Use to fly Ozark when I was in the Army. They were a great airline. Was very disappointed when they were bought out.

Did my 747-400 systems training with Northwest Airlines in Minnesota. Unfortunately Northwest is no longer with us, bought out by Delta Air Lines.
