What might have made the difference as to whether your Mustang was totaled, or not, is the D2C (S197) chassis used starting in 2005. It is much more rigid and is designed a good amount better than any previous Mustang chassis. The "bones" of the D2C is based on the 2000-2005 Thunderbird, Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type. After 2014 the Mustang's chassis was redesigned and it is now exclusive to the model. It is probably exclusive due to Ford not selling any other "cars" in their lineup although there are rumors they are getting back into selling more of them.

No we can go where we want. I know these guys through a good friend and have used them before.
Over 80 years in business....the granddad started it and now the dad and 2 sons run it
Well dad actually just rides his Harley there and has coffee ... lol - he's mostly retired

Opened her up on the highway for the first time…..she sure pulls nicely.
That really is a nice ride.

Today was a special day .... my neighbour (mid 70's) and a real car guy.
Up until a couple of years ago he had a '57 Chevy with a 327 (not stock) .... Hurst 4 speed .... etc
He deals with anxiety and depression ..... he accepted an offer from me to go for a drive in the GT .... his wife was out in their drive way with him as I rolled up to take a few pics.
He had a great time .....

I've known him for 22 years .... he trusts me so as he has worsened there is a sense of safety with me.
I am privileged to be given that amount of trust.
