Grado P mount adapter

Redd House

If she dont love me no more I know her sister will
Does anybody have any of those U shaped plastic adapters Grado used to include with their P mount cartridges to mount the cartridge to a conventional 1/2" headshell? I can't seem to find those things anywhere.

That’s the weird one where you also needed the pin sleeves, right? Haven’t seen one of those in eons. Good luck! I just found a second decoupler finally (and found out that it sucks for the 3 series). But I’ve got a Signature on which it should do nicely.

If the cartridge isn’t something you’d ever plan to use on a P Mount deck again, you can probably just make a bracket out of some hobby store aluminum bar stock, using a hacksaw, a drill bit and some epoxy.
Yes, it's the one Grado included with their P-mount carts X series and earlier. I have the pins but probably threw away the adapter that came with my M+ decades ago because I never intended to use it on anything other than my P-mount Technics TT.

The generic Shure, AT, etc. ones have that bit that goes over the top of the cart. The Grado one doesn't. Just a U shaped piece of plastic with holes for the headshell screws that slides onto the cart from the back. The generics make the cartridge sit lower in the headshell while the Grado keeps it flush to the headshell. Those darn things are rarer than hen's teeth.
