Is very good,closer to home,mike farmer,good flint michigan band.now did not like foot stomping
Music.closer tho home is a good tune.

Their sophomore album( red cover) is a flat out classic. I bailed after their Survival album which was quite good. Heartbreaker off of On Time is one of the greatest false ending songs ever,right up there with the Humble Pie live recording of I Don't Need no Doctor. Tell me Mark Farner isn't a dead ringer for Woody Harroldson on the On Time album cover.

BTW first concert I ever saw was GFR at Shea stadium in ‘71. Humble Pie opened- Peter Frampton!

The explosive buzzsaw opening lick that follows the gentle acoustic guitar intro to that one is tattooed on my brain. All because of an ad that ran incessantly on the radio when I was about 10 which promoted an upcoming GF concert at the HIC Arena in Honolulu.

The first time I heard it, I immediately started saving up to buy Closer to Home.

LOL? Is this supposed to be some kind of diss? Garage rock is a genre that a lot of people dig. The rawness and edge to the music is more pure to me than some noodly prog, classical, jazz, etc. stuff people seem to like. To each his own.

Foot stomping music is one of my favorite songs from GFR, I also love their live albums.

They've got so many great songs. Some of the best live albums I've ever heard, "Caught in the Act" was an eye opener back in the day. Sadly, I never got to see them live. Living in the Yoop was too far from everything most of the time. I love some of their more obscure titles, "Little Johnny Hooker", "Black Licorice", "Heartbreaker, "Inside Looking Out" live version.
I guess GFR might be on my most favorite list of bands, without actually realizing that until now
I am sure I need to replace some needle worn copies after I get everything cleaned and filed. GFR is first on the list
