Grand funk railroad

I share many of the same sentiments already expressed so I'll add that Farner's born-again album Wake-Up is one of my favorite's of that genre. Great cover concept too.

It was a music style late 60's / early 70's when we
were teens lol ....HS mixers, private parties practice in a garage....
I have an 8 track grand funk railroad.

People put LOL after everything now. I don't know why they do it, but I don't think you have any cause to be offended.

I wonder if the band got a perverse pleasure from being erroneously referred to as "Grand **** Railroad"?
 
Mark Farner must have played the dive bar at the end of our neighborhood 30 times in the 1980's.
Seems like every summer his name would be on the marquee trailer out front, sometimes twice a year.
I am not that familiar with the GF catalog other than the radio songs, and I don't know any of his solo work,
but judging by the crowd no one else really did either. Nonetheless, everyone seemed to get into it, and those radio songs got good and rowdy receptions.
 
I loved a lot of GFR numbers, especially live, like this one. Also dug Mark's 'arm band' thing.
