Great sounding Country LP's

The original release is a DMM on Quiex vinyl. The MFSL is since Music Direct bought the label. I really, REALLY doubt that they will better a first pressing (OP, find one if you can, you won't be sorry).

I could see that. I have no issues with the sound of my pressing of Bring The Family.

As long as we're stretching the genre a bit, I like the early Nanci Griffith albums on vinyl...The Last of the True Believers, One in a Very Blue Moon, Poet in My Window, There's a Light Beyond These Woods.

I've been in and out of country for years - mostly from the 70's and 80's. I got into Nanci during the the 80's and grew to like her sound. Re-discovered a couple of her old CDs I had and dusted them off for a listen on my vintage rig. Sweet as ever. I'm listening to her as I type this with some cans on. I love to hear vocals right in the middle of my head. Every nuance of the recording can be heard. Give me some good steel guitar and a solid bass track and I'm in heaven. Nanci may stretch the Country genre, but she does have a unique sound. Now I'm contemplating on finding some vinyl of her's.

Update: Was up in Saratoga Springs today and just happened to wander into a record shop and one of rare country LPs they had was a mint condition 'Little Love Affairs', by Nanci. $2 out the door.
