Greatest Rock Guitarist

Don't get me wrong. I love Neil Young, especially his stuff in the 70s, but Neil Young is, as a good friend of mine once put it, Master of the One-Note Guitar Solo.

:lmao:
His solos on Southern Man and Cinnamon Girl are unbelievable... really:thumbsdn:

C'mon everybody... These lists are already all over AK. One gets started every other week it seems, and they all turn into listings of every guitar player that's out there. Neil Young and Dicky Betts... greatest guitar players? ...and I like them both.

Freshmen? We weren't freshmen

The greatest guitarist in history is my friend **** *******.

He could only play one song. Stairway to Heaven. He would run his fingers through his impossibly perfect feathered blond mane. Then pick up his cheap guitar. Someone would dim the basement lights as it became quite. **** would then begin to strum with a fake intensity the young douchebags of today only dream of.

The girls with equally perfect feathered hair would instantly become hypnotized. Their cheeks would flush. They would take a sip of beer stolen from some dad's garage. Eyelids fluttered. Angora sweaters rising and falling enticingly. Rising and falling. Rising and falling. FINALLY we are gonna get lucky we would think. Each of us stealthily pairing up with the girl we liked. No sudden movements!

Then without fail about halfway through ****'s 75 minute rendition one girl would stand up. Angry hands on angry hips.

"WHAT! You FAGS are out of beer?!?!?!?!? We are out of here!" She would stomp. "We really need fake I.D.s..." one of us would lament for the 100th time to the sound of a fading burnout.

And that's how we got really really good at Foosball. Thanks ****! Couldn't have been Freshman Foosball champ of Gullick Hall without that table in your old basement bro!
