Glenn was a graduate, with top honours, from the Grumpy Acadamy of Bomb-proof packing. I have unpacked gear from both these fine gentlemen, and it is no quick or easy task. The work is worth it, though.
Benz Micro MC Silver from Grumpy
I picked up a Benz Micro MC Silver cartridge for my PL-630 turntable. I just finished completely refurbishing the turntable and tried several carts on it before trusting it with my new cart.
Grumpy was right. This puppy turns audio almost into video. Now I know what staging is all about. I tried it on my new Dark Side of the Moon 30 Year Anniversary LP (180 gm). This LP has alot of stuff on it I never heard before. Also, the music now has up, down, left, right, front and back. If I close my eyes, I can almost see the studio setup.
The price for this cart. was more than reasonable. It hardly has enough miles on it to be broken in. It was packed to survive the worst of shipping conditions, and was almost shipped before I could pay for it. Before the sale, Grumpy called me and provided the personal touch that put me at ease about spending as much as I did for a turntable cart.
As it turns out, this is some of the best spent money I've ever layed out for audio gear.

Another accolade for the Grumpmeister. I picked up a budget TT to use as a backup. As usual, the condition was much better than stated. I made a point of picking it up, so that I wouldn't have to spend a half-hour unpacking it.
