Environmental Illness.
Shine on harvest moon,
Shine through the dry river beds
Scorched earth crumbling
Shine on the waterless air,
Shine as brightly as you dare.

Squirrels
Climb the apple tree,
Chew trough the tender fruit stem,
Apple falls to earth,
Never reaching potential,
Never snuggled in a pie.
Last line...says it ALL!Summer Heat
Burning days have come,
Like some ancient prophecy
Carved into sandstone.
Curious about your middle line...evoking in turn.. questions.Distant Cry
Harsh cry of the crow,
Muted and claustrophobic,
Consumed by the woods.

New Heights
Twisting through the air,
The runaway umbrella
Rises above the city.

Dying Embers
Old grief bears the curse
Bone white fingers scratching sky
Owls refuse her name

Curious about your middle line...evoking in turn.. questions.

All The Same
Souls chase the same face
Mirrors forget every name
Plastic flowers glare
