Haiku

[merlynski]

HAIL

little balls of ice
hard driven down from grey clouds
roiling above us
pelting announcement of spring
soon melting away, cool pools

[Splatter Pak]

redbuds fade to green
I begin to breathe again
in, out, in, out, in

[bobsvinyl]

SHOWER

Sun has now vanished
Driven out by darkened clouds
And machine gun rain.

[Quadman2]

HATE

Robs reality
while being eaten within
like mindless cancer.

Q

[Quadman2]

SHOWER

Sun has now vanished
Driven out by darkened clouds
And machine gun rain.

And backed by "artillery" thunder?

Q

[bobsvinyl]

DAWN
Crimson eruption
Painting the slow moving clouds
Spent in short order.

[bobsvinyl]

DREAMS

Half asleep, startled,
Between the dark and light worlds
Unsure which is real.

[Splatter Pak]

Saturday Night Haiku

bang! bang! bang! bang! bang!
bang! bang! bang! bang! bang! bang! bang!
bang! bang! bang! misfire...

[Quadman2]

DREAMS

Half asleep, startled,
Between the dark and light worlds
Unsure which is real.

Cool!

[Quadman2]

HUNGER

Crying scarecrow child
with thin skin stretched over ribs
Death patiently waits.

Q

[bobsvinyl]

DICHOTOMY

Life has opposites
Coexisting in turmoil
Does one ever win
Or does the battle endure
Through the countless centuries?

HUNGER

Q

You really created a lot of emotion and visuals with that one, Ted. Great job.

[Quadman2]

DICHOTOMY

Life has opposites
Coexisting in turmoil
Does one ever win
Or does the battle endure
Through the countless centuries?

From my POV...no, then yes to your second question.

You reflect history indeed!

[merlynski]

SPRING SNOW

May Day come and gone,
grey sky sends fluttering down
moisture for Spring blooms.
High Plains weather confounds us,
forecast expectations err

[merlynski]

STREWN

Seeds are sown in spring
hoping for summer's bright blooms
that delight the eye,
summon winged flutterers
seeking nectar, life renewed

[Quadman2]

Both nature driven.

Can't decide which drives me more?

Q

[Quadman2]

ELVIS

From Missisip came
"Pelvis" his given stage name
gyrating, his fame.

Q

ROYALTY

Kings don't need ballots
No electoral college
Their blood is their claim
Passed on through generations
To protect the sovereignty.

[bobsvinyl]

CLEANING

The floors have been scrubbed
Pine-Sol smell rising up from them
Glistening with light.

[Quadman2]

ROYALTY

Kings don't need ballots
No electoral college
Their blood is their claim
Passed on through generations
To protect the sovereignty.

True
True
True
True
True

Well done. Captured the theme!
