PERIPHERY

Moving in shadows
Nebulous and wavering
Never in focus.

[merlynski]

NEXT

Marching toward us
Unrelenting and non-stop
past-present-future

[bobsvinyl]

FOREST

Old log overturned
Releasing the earthy smell
From dampened soil.

[merlynski]

Exposed Scurriers
running from sunlit danger
scoot under rubble
fearful from sudden changes
in their dark obscurity.

[bobsvinyl]

WEB

Spider spinning silk
Architectural wonder
With deadly intent.

[Quadman2]

Arachnid heaven!

Great focus, Merle !!

[Quadman2]

UNIVERSE

In your beginning,
colossal explosion that
boggles human thought
casting worlds and stars apart
expanding our existence.

Q

[Quadman2]

WIND

Caressing grain fields
dancing with swaying corn stalks
Nature's melody.

Q

[bobsvinyl]

SOUNDS

Wind and driving rain
animal and insect sounds
nature conversing.

[Quadman2]

SOUNDS

Wind and driving rain
animal and insect sounds
nature conversing.

A rain drop to an insect is one big deal!

[merlynski]

RAIN DROPS

Pour from a grey sky,
frogs rejoice loudly as moist
dusk brings evening.
Cool settles in again and
dark overtakes earth, stars gleam.

[bobsvinyl]

EYES

Unlocking the mind
By opening dual lenses
To life's mysteries.

[bobsvinyl]

BLINDNESS

Darkness in daylight
Sounds without seeing
Tragedy for some
While others embrace this gift
To find a deeper vision.

BLINDNESS

Darkness in daylight
Sounds without seeing
Tragedy for some
While others embrace this gift
To find a deeper vision.

Liked the contrasting, observing both sides of the "coin" we call life.

Q

[Quadman2]

Ocean

Keeper of deep depths
Ebbing, flowing, moving, to
match moon's changing moods.

PORTRAIT

Photo on the wall
Capturing a smiling man,
Life awakening,
Unaware of the future
And forgotten in the past.

unrhymed poetic
Flows like a jagged river
Not a normal poem

[merlynski]

AUDIO

electrons swirling
organized by human's minds
MUSIC rejoices!

unrhymed poetic
Flows like a jagged river
Not a normal poem

Not normal, but the shortness and count is wherein lies the challenge.
