harman kardon HK 20's

Hi Friends,

I saw a pair of harman kardon HK 20's for 7 bucks at a thrift shop. I was going to to pick them up, but wanted to check with you guys first if they are worth it. Meaning the quality of the speakers. Any thoughts?

You better go back and get them.
They could be gone by now.

At 7.00, even if they're crap, you didn't lose that much.

The name alone suggests that they will probably be better than average.

My Wife found me a pair of HK-40's at the curb. Paper cone mids, but excellent soundiing 2-way 10" system. The woofers have a rubberized cloth surround that never needs replacing. Don't worry about the excess putty around the speakers, that's how they are from the factory.

I was able to to back and they were still there. I just brought them home and will test them out tonight.
