HDMI 1.3...and so it begins.

Howie: Composite is the single worst video connection you can use, nothing worse for picture quality then composite. (single rca usually yellow)

Second worst is S-Video. Not only is the connector garbage but all of the video signals run down a single cable, well actually 2 cables intertwined in a single jacket.

Component is a great analog connection, it uses the red blue and green cables so 3 seperate video signals on 3 seperate cables. This is the second BEST choice.

BEST>>>>HDMI. It has its issues like a crappy connector and difficulties over very long runs but, for the sharpest, clearest picture it is the single best solution. If you have it, use it.

Thanks. So if I do not want to keep pulling out inputs from my projector or have more than one video cable crossing my room to the projector, is there any device which is remote controlled where I can connect my cable (composite only), tv, dvd (hdmi) and then output all in one HDMI to the projector?

When I mean device I mean like a switching box, not an AV amp! :D

thanks

OK, back on subject. Duarts may make the best banana cream pie in the world...

Thanks,

Ron,

With a MX132, could I get a resonable picture quality going component to the MX132 (DVD), composite (cable) then component out to projector? Can the MX132 take care of the tv antenna or do I need an additional tv tuner box first?

howie

Howie,

Component started with the MX134 not the 132. A 119 would be the best bet for sending it all down component.

Thanks,
Ron-C

Ron,

You are now hitting below the belt. Banana cream is my favorite pie, period! I better start joining you on your Sunday bike rides.

Okay, here are some pictures of duartes.

Yes, I knew Emma, she ran the restaurant back in the 70s but is gone now. Ron Duarte looks just like his grandad and now Tim Duarte, Ron's son runs the place..

Thanks,
Ron-C

Your history with Duarte's runs much longer than mine, but it's clear it's a family run business and they know better than to muck around with a good thing.
