Hello from Savannah, GA,
I just found this site and joined up today. I'm an old Carver junkie into DIY speakers-- looking forward to checking out all the forums here :thmbsp:

Welcome aboard Jazzman. There are quite a few people here that are into building their own speakers so you should find yourself in good company.

Theres a loooooooooong speaker collaboration going on in the speaker forum right now entitled Zilch's Econowave Project.

Welcome to AK. I lived in Savannah for a couple of years when I was stationed at Ft Stewart. Great town! Is the Pirate's House still in operation? Some of the best food I ever had!

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier but--- Oh Yeah, the Pirates House is still here in Savannah and still serving great seafood. Regretfully, however, the historic jazz lounge located upstairs over the Pirates House (Hard Hearted Hannah's) has closed.

A group of us would go down there and order the "Surf and Turf".... a nice filet along side a flounder stuffed with crab meat and shrimp, and salad. Follow that with Keylime Pie and a Hot Buttered Rum. Then I had to drive 45 miles to Ft. Stewart to work 11pm 'til 7am. Longest 45 miles in the world!
