And a closeup of the logo, maybe?

Open them up and see if there's any ID on the drivers.

Dimensions, driver sizes....

They're pirate speakers... ARRRRRRRRRRR

The "horn" is a plastic diffuser in front of the tweeter. The tweeter is most likely a 2" sealed back, paper cone driver.

I agree, it's just strange that there would be horns and acoustic suspension. Jorg
If you look into the shallow depth, plastic lens, you'll more than likely see a small paper cone tweeter. Not a real compression driver. Most of those had perforated beaverboard backs too, although I did see a few with solid beaverboard or lauan backs. Saw lots of them back then that were pre-packed with Juliette, Soundesign or Electrophonic compact stereos.

Thank you all. I just saw this add in the local B&S and was intrigued. You're right, these are way too thin to be a compression driver and very likely from a compact stereo. Thanks all, saved me a trip.

I don't know what they are.....

.....but I can tell you where they are going -

Well, I'm glad we all agree they're junk. However there is an similar pair on the bay atm, looks like the same logo, tho they're a little big I think. Anywho, who can refute the label on the back of the speaker, I think it says it all! :lmao:
