Help identifying carts

These two were in a batch buy I made, mainly for the headahells.

Any idea what they are??

They look like an Ortofon and an Audio Technica. Models? Dunno. God knows whether I'm even close.

The pale green one looks like a spectrum cartridge of some sort (never seen this one before), and the yellow is definitely a variant on the Audio Technica AT-3400/95.

Sometimes they are marked on top of the cartridge, might be worth to unscrew them and take a look.

They're both "starter" cartridges with conical styli and, though decent-sounding, little if any upgrade-ability.
The greenish one is probably a Kenwood V-47, though it was also sold as a Sharp and other brands.
The yellow one was also known by a variety of names, but probably best known as a Sanyo MG-09.

That's a shame.. I obviously hoped they were something usable.

You're welcome.
Usable, yes, but top of the line, no.
Now, since these are both Carts With A Thousand Faces, you might find an upgrade stylus that looks entirely different but fits (maybe with some trimming) those bodies. Worth a look around.
Perfect cartridges to include when you sell a turntable, or for auditioning used LPs.

I have much better cartridges, so i won't be using them myself.
However using them on TTs I want to pass on is a pretty good idea...

At least there were also a Stanton 500 MkII (a bit better, right?) and an AT-12 (quite usable).

Yep, both the Stanton and A-T are still upgradeable, albeit with some difficulty as the original styli head off into the sunset.
