Can anyone please help identify this jbl speaker.
Description says it’s a 16in speaker with separate tweeter horn.
That’s all I got.
Thanks!

That does not look like any JBL I've ever seen.

Any way to get a picture of the back?

Regards,
Gordon.

There was a photo of the rear terminals with a jbl badge but the listing is gone.
Must’ve been something good.

Don't JBL offered a 16" speaker - 18s, and 15s ...

I'm guessing that it was a diy component kit(available in old catalogs) with a JBL crossover enclosure peeking out of the back. If they measured the cutout or frame and not the piston/cone, then the slightly larger 16" size would make some sense.

Some furniture companies (ex. Barzilay) built quality speaker boxes & console units with various manufacturers' components, JBL included.
We shouldn't expect that anyone who'd sell them for that low of a price would know how to measure the drivers properly. o_O
One thing's for sure, some lucky bastard out there is kickin' it up with their happy dance.

Yeah, Barzilay came to mind and the names of any others I don't recall. The corner joint and fit on the far unit makes me think diy.
