Thanks, Terra. Don't sweat it. Considering that this bile is coming from a crybaby who is too lazy (or ignorant) to even read his own owner's manual, much look at the back of his own unit, I certainly don't.

My only mistake was trying to educate him.

Eleven days after the suggestion was first made:

Can someone tell me if I have a Preamp output and Main amp input, that is maybe named different on the RX-V1000 ?

Wow... That's GOTTA be embarrassing!

I take pride in being the one to publicly point out his inability to take the effort to understand the situation and trying to educate him in what's going on behind the scene with his equipment but, alas, that truly seems beyond him. I remember in "the ole days" where ownership of this equipment implies some sort of intellectual investment in knowing how it all tied together and how to operate it. Most people today do want to learn and are grateful for the help provided via sites like this and take the time to understand what's being offered.

..and then there are a few like this turkey...

Alas, I guess it's inevitable that in this days of the Internet, one can whine publicly about their ignorance and count on others to solve their problems for them without any effort or thought on their part that it was only a matter oftime before this mindset infected this hobby. ..and then cwy when they don't/can't/are too lazy to understand the help being offered and blame everyone else except themselves.

I'm pretty sure everyone else who is reading this pretty much feels the same way.

As for Yamaha support, with this guy's inability to express himself in a clear and concise manner and unwillingness (or inability) understand the answers provided, they probably didn't have any idea what this ungrateful schlep was talking about either and gave up in frustration.

It's always easier to try to blame others for ones inability to understand the help offered.

Pearls before swine, Terra. Pearls before swine...

My first Post. What the Hell was confusing about this ???????:scratch2:
Doesn't that second link show your owners manual where it clearly state on page 18 where the pre outs and main ins are, not to mention several pictorials of the back of your unis also showing them and finally, not to mention having the unit itself at your disposal?

Face it, from your forst post on connecting the speakers to the eq, it's quite obvious you didn't have a clue. Had you seen them you wouldn't have known what to do with them. Oh wait, that was made clear later.

Perhaps you should have read it yourself before casting stones at others? :D

But, then again, you wouldn't understand what you were reading anyway.

Speaking of "wrong and useless info", your part about connecting the eq to the speakers was truly laughable, and now you waht to come off as an expert?

You didn't learn a thing here, did you? What are you, fifteen or so?

Ah, once I was able to weed thru all the "WRONG & USELESS post and info here that confused me from figuring out what the 2 people said about my RX-V1000 and MY MODEL EQ, Guess what, it worked for all sources thru the Preamp output and Main amp input.

Ahh, I got there from there.
Yeah, after I had to point out where your pre outs and main ins were for everyone to see. :butt1:

It's too bad you are incapable of learning the theory behind what makes this wonderful hobby works. ..or too lazy, whichever.

This is ridiculous.

Yes, the OP didn't pick up on the advice he was given, but allow me to point out that there was greater confusion caused by the various responders arguing back and forth with each other about the correct method of making the connections. You've all caused this thread to degenerate into a stereotypical internet pissfest.

The rudeness and insults in this thread are just intolerable.

Closed.
