How do you pronounce "Technics"?

A small poll about how to pronounce the former top-range Matsushita's brand.

A short key to the candidates of this election:

/ɪ/ is short, /iː/ is long (in fact, colon means long vowel).
The apostrophe identifies the syllable under stress.

So,
/ˈtɛknɪks/ — stress of the first syllable, the "i" is short,
/tɛkˈniːks/ — stress on the second syllable, the "i" is long.
/tɛkˈnɪks/ — stress on the second syllable, the "i" is short.

To me, there is little difference between the 2nd and the 3rd, but what do I know :)

If I am correctly transcribing what you say, you prefer the form /tɛkˈniːks/, but there is only one vote for this variant, and it was there before you commented.

Um, unlike you, onwardJames prefers /ˈtɛknɪks/ if I correctly understood his reply.

It is a poll, so it would be awesome if you guys vote at the top of the thread instead of providing a write-in answer. I don't think there is a third choice here (this feels like real elections :))

ni: doesn't represent a long 'ee' vowel sound last I knew.

I'm no expert, just willing to share my opinion.

Ok I'll admit ignorance on this one. I look at this and I'm still not sure what sound is attached to each of these. Which one sounds like techNIKS? Which sounds like TechNEEKS?

Frankly ...... I see two groups of people who think theirs is the correct way. Honestly does it really matter?

Ha. Well then , come up with a third, completely outrageous pronunciation of your own. Maybe. "TeCHniQUEUES. CH as in chew. QUEUES as in ... well....queue....
