How many reel to reel machines do you have?

Only one in service - Tandberg 6041x but I keep a spare pair of Tandbergs of the same or similar model "just in case." If I'm listening to tape it is more likely to be on one of my systems with Nakamichi cassette decks - very convenient and the quality is generally not distinguishable from using the Tandberg (which is in great shape, BTW, since I used to service them and still have factory alignment parts).

At one time I had 8 when I used them for live recording, now I have 3 all in storage. AMPEX F4460, REVOX B-77II 2/4 HS, Ampex AG500-2/4 HS.

I have a Pioneer RT-909 and an RT 707 (which mysteriously doesn't power up at all as of a month ago) and an AKAI GX-4000D. I also have four Knight 4100 "portable" stereo RTRs in my basement, but I'm afraid to plug any of them in so I won't count them.
EDIT: I also have three DeJur/Grundig Stenorettes, two with worn-out playback heads, one fully functional.

My best friend just gave me his Teac 3440 to use for the next couple of years, and I found a great repair tech who lives about 15 miles from me who makes his living on RtR decks. He went through my Teac 300R deck and it is playing great.

The RT-1011L and A-1500W were basically picked up for scrap metal value because they were non functional. They both had the same problem. The lubricant on the take up tension arms had frozen them into the "Off" position so no power to the motors made them appear dead. A quick clean up and relub and they were ready to go.

I had several machines, and a couple hundred tapes that I bought cheap as a lot. I decided that they weren't worth the hassle or the space that it all took up, and if I was going to record, I'd just do it digitally, so I unloaded it all.

Good riddance.

I have my Dads Akai M-9 that he bought while in the Army on the DMZ.
Just replaced the motor run caps and gave it a much needed lube and cleaning.
I'm going to try 3D printing some new lever cams. The Fast Forward wedge is gone and the rec/play cam is about to crumble.

RT-909 that needs service - In the process of gathering materials and resources for that one.

I would say at least 75% function fully and the rest are at least complete and lack a functional trait ( Rec. PB.FF.REW) or two. The junker parts machines are in the shed collecting dust. The Ampex are too big for the living room so I have a Tascam BR 20 for now, it was a Technics 1520 but it has some issue that has it in the repair cycle.
