Computer rig - Proton 300/301 (powered speakers, used nearfield, cost $10)
Shop rig - Jamo 500 (a sub/sat system, not bad for $20)
Movie rig - the mighty JVC MX-1 (fan-cooled amp, integral subs, makes a movie sound like a movie, bought same day as the Protons, again $10)
not in use:
Minimus 7's (garage sale, pretty good with a sub)
BSR subwoofer (passive)
Infinity subwoofer (teats up)
NHT Super Zero ($250, there's a lesson in there somewhere)
Almost forgot: I still have my FIRST pair of speakers, nasty little single-driver bookshelves. The drivers died, so I replaced them with better Calrad units, and the back panel also. One of these days, I'll power them up.
