.....I'm not sure we can....we've got an hour to edit the post, then it appears to be locked in....when things first changed over, "Delete" was among the choices at the bottom of the post....now it's not.....

I hope that this is something that they will be addressing. It seems that that option should be afforded us. I'm assuming that it is something that will be reinstated in time.

You don't delete - you edit. Hit the edit button, delete what you wrote, then type in "oops" or "sorry" .

That's how it works.

Unless you're a subscriber - one of the selling points of that status was the ability to obliterate one's own posts/threads.

The other day I was able to edit all I wanted to and now the word or function "edit" has disappeared entirely. Anyone else lose their "edit" button?>

How do you delete a post now? Before it was so easy. I'm not seeing any "Delete" option in the "Edit" section.

After an hour, the only current method is to have a Moderator do it for you.

Not being able to edit and delete posts after one hour is a big issue for me

The powers that be are still working out the details of the update, including getting editing & deleting privileges back.

I believe you currently have an hour to edit a post.

But the way it currently is might make one think a bit before posting something they might regret.

Until the editing and deleting function is back, just reply to your own post and add your changes and comments. Simple.

Well, per the xenforo site it looks like self deletes can certainly can be set up similar to the old site. I too would miss the ability to self delete post and threads started that in hindsight were unnecessary, misinformed, or just posted into the wrong thread or forum. It happens.
