• The move to the new server is done. There are some software and database maintenance updates in process. This has us passing the hat around to help out. We appreciate any donations. Seriously, even a dollar helps. The payment page may be found here - https://www.audiokarma.org/support.html

How to help Videokarma

Register to hide this ad
I can't find any information on what problems Videokarma is having.

Update?
One of the main issues that VK has been having is that it has been bombarded by bots and overloading our server. Because of the overload, whenever anyone went to the main page it would say something to the effect "Server is busy, try again later". Sometimes it was hit with up to 1,600% more than we are alloted on the server for the site. We have implemented some things and are looking at upgrading the software to help with this as well as just making the site more current.

Have seen post saying PayPal link broken. Tried it and do get an error message.

I've never even heard of Videokarma until now, so I'm not part of that traffic. :D
I`ve known about V/K for some time from occasional references, here on A/K, but I`ve never really had any interest in signing up and using the forum, even though I`m somewhat of a bit of a multi decade experienced "Vididiot" from the late seventies to current !

Really want to love it, but it needs a giant update. Been a member since 2019 and just made my first post today. Usually pretty quiet over there. Bots must be mining for data in a quiet area of the interwebs.

Yea it sure does. We are hoping to get VK end the Audio heritage site squared away. Unfortunately it’s enormous amount of work that cost a great deal of money to have done. Either way we appreciate all members from all of our sister sites. :)

VK and AK share servers so any issues with one affects the other. Currently the only website under the Audiokarma umbrella that does not share servers is the Lansing Heritage site. Eventually, it will be moved, but it still requires an enormous amount of work before that can happen.

Thank you
David
