hpm40 +pioneer sa 708

hi, this is my first post in ak. I have a chance to buy a pair of pioneer hpm 40s and a pioneer SA 708 amplifier together for 300usd. Is it a good deal? The hpm 40s are first generation btw.

Does EVERYTHING (all speaker drivers and all amp functions) work as it should?
What condition are the speakers and amp in?
Seems like an okay deal if it all works as it should.
But I'm not a Pioneer expert, just going off the few ebay completed sales I could find.

I have never heard them. going through the information i have found online, apparently their highs tend to be a bit harsh at louder volumes. is that your problem with them as well?

wow. wth? there is a famous sun audio? the seller does own this online shop thing which he has called sun audio, i wasn't aware of any other sun audio. mind you I live in Asia.

If you are having them shipped and can't see them in person, I would want pics from every angle. Possibly a video showing that everything works..

my next option is buying these JBL L100s that come very rarely in my country. apparently they are supposed to be in mint condition but the seller asks for 1k.
