It's just part of life when you use a laptop as a desktop and need ports for a keyboard, mouse, usb dac, and a whole host of other miscellaneous items that you are constantly connecting and disconnecting.

Right, and in your particular usage scenario I would not expect bullit proof audio.

I would put mine up against anyone with similarly priced equipment.

FLAC files ripped via EAC --> foobar2k with/wasapi -->HRT MSII or Audinst HUD-mx1 -> Schiit Asgard --> DT880 or DT1350. It's a nice setup.

I've used it directly out of my laptop and through the powered usb hub and have noticed no difference. Maybe my ears just suck.

@skyline315 Apologies if I misinterpreted your post. I thought you were suggesting that the usage scenario you described "...constantly connecting and disconnecting" could cause issues, which I was agreeing with.

Perhaps if I had used the word "that" instead of "your" in my post it would not have come across as a criticsm of your setup. Never ment to dis your rig

Oh, I wasn't offended...just confused as to which part of my setup you thought was causing issues that had gone unnoticed by me.

I'm still looking to upgrade (who isn't in this hobby?). I think a Schiit Bifrost is next on my wishlist...
