Oh, yeah. Since this is an audio forum, are you going to do anything with the sound system? My 997 C2S is the stock Bose (ugh) option, except I added Nav-TV's Sirius satellite radio adapter and iPod adapter, both of which interface seamlessly through the PCM screen and controls.

Actually this was a complete coincidence, I was thinking of getting a turbo sometime next year, this GT3 became available and I "pounced" on it. :D

Standard sport seats and I love them. :yes: Even if I had a chance to option out the car, which I didn't, I would have gone for the sport seats, they fit me perfectly.

Are you kidding? I haven't even turned the sound system on yet.... The exhaust note past 4k rpms is how should I say it, "intoxicating". :yes: I listen to music at home, in the car, the engine is the symphony. :D A ferrari symphony would be even better but "one step at a time" as they say.

I completely understand, but on the few days I drive the 997 to work, it is nice to have the satellite radio or iPod as options to listen to, as the exhaust note at 15 MPH on the morning commute is not quite so intoxicating. Now on the way home on the Hardy Toll Road (Houston's closest thing to an autobahn most days), nothing but engine sounds.:yes:
 
More pics please! White is a great color.

I bought a 996 twin turbo this year and had to add the europipe exhaust for sound/performance.
I agree, stereo is for home.

BTW, the GT3's on-track performance surprises most people, Porsche and Ferrari owners alike, and the boxer six is enough...you'll see.

It will be open in the spring or mid summer. The shorter of the two tracks is apparently already paved.

I didn't intend to knock Ferraris down. Instead I feel that the Porsche GT3 is sort of a wolf in sheep's clothing. Most every Ferrari is truly a work of art to be appreciated, and you never realize it until you're around one in person. I don't undervalue that. I just feel the Porsche GT3 is a special car that delivers a lot more than the sum of its parts, and does so reliably for a long time which is common for Porsche.

I think Dave D would really be in the position to say but he is too modest. :D I think we would all be seriously impressed if he ever decides to talk about why he would be in that position. I know and I am very impressed.:thmbsp:

I agree with you. :yes: The GT3 is an awesome car and my guess is that it will hold its value quite nicely. I'm just sorry that they've stopped manufacture. Perhaps by the time that I’m back in the car buying game they’ll once again release it or a close facsimile to it. :D
