I know nothing: Opinions on SM 100

What is your opinion of the value of these speaker systems?

Those SM-100's were "sort-of" Infinity's "rock and roll" speakers.... sold at Best Buy's and Crutchfield mainly. It's been forever since I've listened to a set, but I still remember they reminded me of Cerwin Vega's. Lastly, foam surround on the woofer, and polycell tweeter, so if the woofers have not been re-foamed lately, they are probably overdue, and I'm not sure how long the foam of the polycell tweeters lasted. To me, they are certainly not "collectable" type Infinity's. To me, if they've been re-foamed, $50, if not, $30 tops, but that's just what I'd pay for them.

ditto. The SM series was not one of infinities good offerings. They were basically loud and not much more. Cheap drivers, little to no dampening and the tweeters are commonly blown from lack of protection. I would pass on them.
