How did you obtain it?
I think asking the amount paid might be ok if asking it is considered a data point rather than a matter of value...which can be subjective and arguable and thus a matter for Dollars and Sense. So with that loose justification in mind...What did you pay for it?

Well actually it was bought for me by an extremely kind benefactor, I know that it cost around £350 at a guess, (~56000 yen, or $495) this is much much cheaper than one would need to pay for the same anywhere in Europe - albeit very likely for the rarer international version. I am forever in the benefactor's debt that's for sure.

After a checking with a DBT, I powered it up this afternoon and checked the DC offset, (both channels started at about 50mV - tracking down to a fairly stable ~20mV in a few minutes) and connected a CD player, we have audio output !
I seem to have a problem with the rear panel RCA sockets for Tuner and Aux, the centre pin doesn't make good contact - leading to some slight break up in the audio from the right channel - some cleaning needed there.
I haven't made any adjustments yet, I wanted to hear it just how it's owner heard it. Heatsinks are quite cold, suggesting low bias perhaps.
I can say that it already sounds almost as nice as my AU-D11 II or AU-919 (most recently listened to by me) without any adjustments or restoration at all. That's an amazing result as I KNOW how tired and lifeless both those amplifiers were when I got them.
There you have it, that sets the stage, it is basically in good health, but needs a few things attended to.
Now I need to study the schematic, become familiar with the various PCB's and how they are interconnected and make sure I understand how all the adjustments are made and exactly what they do.
