I really feel sorry for this guy...

Yeah, that's a really nice little set. If I was closer I'd almost be tempted :D

I always thought of them as a very 80s blow your hair back speakers lol. A buddy had some and loved them to death, although as far as quality and performance in terms I'd say they might not cut it :D

Although still to take the time and make them look nice is a challenge all in it's self. I personally restored a set of old Aztec bookshelf speakers and I love them. Are they amazing quality? Nah, I'd say they are ok and decent for what they are, but again nothing to write home about. However I did like the fact that they have some real nice weight to them

Who wants a pair of redone AAL speakers? Apparently nobody.

And for good reason. Cheap particle board boxes with nondescript drivers aren't really a good candidate for veneering. My first speaker upgrade (in 1980) was a pair similar to those and the best thing I can say about them is they're sensitive enough to get loud on a handful of watts.

I bet if he drops his price to $75 or so someone will bite on it.

I have a pair of 3-way AAL and a pair of 2-way AAL that I'd part with for less than half that if I ever got around to putting them on CL.

hmmmm, I wonder if they have anything to do with MTX's "AAL" series of home audio speakers they made back in the 80's-90's.

Used to be TOTL furniture store speakers. He may could get $40 for them. Plus those are not the TOTL AALs.

Yep those are furniture store jobs...fell prey to them while in the service. The pair I had came with 2 15"s and a Horn. Smelled electrical smoke in my barraks room, it was comming from the horns, so being the kid I was, I turned it up more and watched 'em fry ! Took them back and they refused to warrenty them, even though they were rated at 500rms.
